The Velsicol Chemical Corporation / Pine River Superfund Site is located in St. Louis, Mich. It is a 56 acre area formerly home to a chemical processing plant. This plant operated from 1936 – 1978 and manufactured numerous chemicals, including PBB and DDT. This site represented a threat to the public because of contamination from the chemicals. This timeline is telling the story of the ups and downs that occurred over the years with this Superfund Site.
